My View From Down Here

Morning there, as the title suggests, its a Monday morning =(. An early one at that.

My day starts with being woken up by 4 alarm clocks to ensure i don't stay in bed too long, then jumping around dressing, making my packed lunch which makes me feel like I'm in school again, then getting the early bus just in case the traffic is bad, which iv learnt it never is and i get to work too early.

After this weekend, which involved a binge of chocolate and Baileys, since the girlfriend loves them, i managed to squeeze in a brief viewing of the new 'Disaster Movie' all before the power went out in my street for a good 3 hours, then forgetting to finish watching the movie because id gotten so blotto on the toffee flavoured goodness of Baileys, iv learnt 2 things;

• Baileys is good
• If a movies called Disaster Movie, it is just that.

'Disaster Movie' is presumably the same as Epic Movie, but i saw no connections, except the bad acting, crappy humour and little resemblance to the Movies or Celebrities being ripped on. Through out the whole movie i was sitting there, watching with the occasional giggle from me and a whole heartidly pirate style laugh from the female, i was thinking, this Baileys could use some ice. It was that bad. When i looked on IMDB it gave a few examples of the movies ripped on, here's which apparently are the most subtle ones;

• Superbad (2007) - Character McLover is a spoof of McLovin from the movie
• Juno (2007) - Character names Paulie and Juney, who dress the same as Michael Cera's and Ellen Page's characters
• Enchanted (2007) - Character Giselle
• Kung Fu Panda (2008) - Character who is depicted as Po
• Hancock (2008) - Character named Hancock who shares same qualities as Will Smiths character
• The Love Guru (2008) - Characters the Love Guru and Justin Timberlake

Aside from these movies being mediocre to begin with, Disaster Movie made it worse for them all.

Anyways, opinions are opinions, and my hangover is bad, in short, if you want a night in and a reason to drink, choose this movie, i assure you the words "It was mint cause i was drunk" make this movie what it is. Now i have a presentation to do at work.

Welcome to my new blog.
I'm James and i felt it was about time i made a blog people may actually be interested in reading, so rather than my usual attempts which include things like "went to uni today, boring" etc. You know the usual diary sort of blog. Though i personally enjoy reading about other peoples lives for a while, i get bored writing about my own.
So This blog is about my favourite shows, e.g. Stargate, Heroes, Family Guy, Smallville and many more. I will also talk about all the latest movies i have seen and give a review, hopefully you will enjoy my reviews and not think I'm some complete novice who should turn his keyboard in for xylophone, (weird thing to say i know). I will also talk about music and whats new out there including upcoming gigs and festivals, though I doubt i will be talking about the latest classical compositions or the latest heavy metal Ballard (does heavy metal do Ballard's?).

So i guess i should tell you a little about me, i mean why would you read something written by someone you had no clue who they were? I am James as previously stated and i am from the UK, specifically England, more specifically Stockport, though i currently live in Liverpool.
At the moment im working just earning money for rent and not doing a whole lot of much else at the moment. Well apart from keeping up with TV filom and music ofcourse ;)

Right so this was my first post, i hope it wasnt too boring and i hope you will read more of my blog. I will be starting with my views on the latest stargate fanchise news and some of my current favourite music.
